Welcome to Friday Five #5!
Another 5 things from Feel Good Bicycles this week.
RTE Sportsperson of the Year
Huge congratulations to Oisin O’Callaghan for winning RTE Junior Sportsperson of the Year. This lad had an unreal start to the Downhill season as a first year junior winning the World Champs and following World Cup races by a massive margin. Expect big things to come from this man! 🤘🤘
Unfortunately Sam Bennett did not get the title of RTE Sportsperson of the Year that he deserved and to add insult to injury, RTE used a photo of his teammate Rémi Cavagna 🙄. Better luck next year Sam!
Bike Check Alert 🚨
This sweet MyO custom painted and upgraded Orbea Occam M10 arrived and was since picked up by a lucky new owner this week. Check it out!
Danny McAskill dropped his latest edit The Slab last week and true to style he wow’s us all again 😮😮😮. The steepness of this is unbelievable! As impressive as the edit is, check out the “making of” video to truly appreciate what he achieved this time.
The Destructive Dowers of Salt! 🧂
With the frosty weather and the salty roads this time of year you have to really pay attention to cleaning your bike. Road cyclists already know this, but what if you are a mountain biker carrying your bike on the back of the car?? I show you a customer’s bike and what damage can be caused.
UCI Cyclocross World Championships 🌈
It was great to see that the UCI managed to still hold the World Cyclocross Champs with everything going on this year. Were you watching it? 📺
That’s all for this week folks! Let me know what you think in the comments and if there is anything you would like me to cover!
