The evolution of Srams X01 group is called Eagle. If you look at the details of the group, this name definitely makes sense. While you often had to make compromises with the 11-speed cassette with 10-42 teeth gradation of the XX1 cassette and either the fastest or the slowest gear was missing, you are with the 12-speed X01 Eagle cassette with its huge gradation of 10-50 teeth free in every terrain like an eagle. With the X01 Eagle, Sram manages to combine the advantages of 2-speed and 1-speed drives: a gear ratio range of 500%, which is on the level of 2-speed groups, in combination with the easier-to-use and lighter 1-speed Drive.
The PC 1290 12-speed chain has a very large part in the smoothness and smooth running of the new X01 Eagle 12-speed group. This is achieved through particularly rounded outer plates and the consequent omission of sharp edges. The HollowPin construction enables smooth, precise shifting and weight savings without compromising on strength. The pins are reinforced by a chrome coating. A nickel coating offers a high level of corrosion protection and reduces the friction of the chain. The revised PowerLock chain lock has a longer shelf life and is even easier to use.
